WHMIS (GHS) Training Online – $35

Globally Harmonized System​- GHS Standard. As of December 1, 2018 all training must be taken as previously recognized WHMIS 2015.Danatec’s award-winning, industry recognized WHMIS online training course is for initial or re-certification training. This course meets all of Health Canada’s training requirements under the Hazardous Products Regulations, for all persons involved in handling workplace chemicals.Danatec’s WHMIS online course (formerly known as WHMIS 2015).

Centres around 5 WHMIS stories, which bring in real life events, told by real people in real workplaces. The video, animations, engaging games and skill building exercises will make for an engaging interactive learning experience. TDG Online Training – $40

Danatec’s award winning, industry recognized Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) online training courses is for initial or re-certification training. Our continually updated, current TDG course meets all of Transport Canada’s training requirements under the TDG Regulations, for all persons involved in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods by ground.

Our course is ideal for shippers, receivers and drivers. It contains interactive elements such as video, animations, engaging games and skill building exercises which will engage the adult learner and make for an interesting and educational learning experience. Our courses focus on elements that ensure the information is understood, retained and easily resourced.

A final exam to complete the course and a printable certificate along with a Digital Badge is issued upon completion. Free printable resources are included such as our TDG class guide, placarding guide, emergency reporting documents and phone numbers. TDG certification is valid for 3 years upon completion and is non-transferable.

Bear Awareness Online Training – $25

Bears are fascinating creatures that are generally quite peaceful, but they are also powerful carnivores capable of doing great damage to property as well as human beings, and should be treated with respect. This course covers general bear facts as well as discussing safety procedures for personnel working in the field, and the proper procedures for setting up and maintaining a safe camp.

Self-paced. On average, the course will take between 2 – 3 hours to complete.

Ultimately, the objective of Bear Aware: Working in Bear Country is to reduce your chances of a bear encounter, as well as to reduce the number of bears that have to be destroyed due to do bear-human conflicts.

This course is presented in 2 modules:

  1. The Bear Essentials
  2. Working in Bear Country

At the end of each module, there is a test. Participants must successfully complete the test before continuing to the next module. Participants that do not achieve 100% can review the module content and try as many times as necessary to advance and complete the course. Test questions are randomly selected from a test bank, making each test unique.

Upon successfully completing the module, there is a printable certificate for your records.

Bloodborne Pathogens – $40

Bloodborne Pathogens is designed for individuals who may be exposed to blood and body fluids during the performance of their work and who wish to gain a more thorough understanding of bloodborne pathogens, the prevention of occupational exposure, and exposure follow-up.

Self-paced. On average, the course will take between 3 – 4 hours to complete.

The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the basic ability to recognize the hazards associated with occupational exposure to blood and body fluids; be familiar with the steps to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogens; and to know the steps that should be taken following exposure to blood and body fluids.

The course is presented in 4 modules:

  1. Introduction to Bloodborne Pathogens
  2. Bloodborne Pathogen Regulations
  3. Workplace Programs and Personal Protection
  4. Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Follow-up

At the end of each module, there is a test. Participants must successfully complete the test before continuing to the next module. Participants that do not achieve 80% can review the module content and try as many times as necessary to advance and complete the course. Test questions are randomly selected from a test bank, making each test unique.

Upon successfully completing all modules, there is a printable certificate for your records.

Canada Labour Code Orientation – $35

Generally speaking, the Canada Labour Code establishes the legislative framework and outlines the duties and responsibilities of the employer and employees pertaining to occupational health and safety. The course is intended for employers and employees, members of health and safety committees and representatives who are covered by Part II of the Code. The Canadian Labour Code applies to employees who work under federal jurisdiction. This training is mandatory for all managers who have employees reporting to them. Consideration may also be given to those employees or managers who are members of Workplace Health and Safety (WPH&S) Committees or Site Health and Safety Representatives and who have not yet completed the WPH&S committee training.

Self-paced. On average, the course will take between 3 – 5 hours to complete.

The purpose of the course is to explain the health and safety legislation which applies to all areas under federal jurisdiction. The course is designed for participant education, to provide information about the Code as a proactive tool for reducing workplace accidents and occupational illnesses; and self-regulation and the internal resolution of occupational health and safety-related complaints and problems raised by employers and employees.

The course is presented in 5 modules:

  1. Introduction
  2. Duties of Employers
  3. Duties and Rights of Employees
  4. Committees, Representatives and Officers
  5. Appeals, Offences and Punishment

At the end of each module, there is a test. Participants must successfully complete the test before continuing to the next module. Participants that do not achieve 100% can review the module content and try as many times as necessary to advance and complete the course. Test questions are randomly selected from a test bank, making each test unique.

Upon successfully completing all modules, there is a printable certificate for your records.

Medical Terminology – $320

The purpose of the Medical Terminology course is to provide an introduction to the professional language used by those who are directly and indirectly involved with the art of healing. The course will also introduce those not currently involved in the health care environment with an introduction to the language of medicine. In addition, the course will provide participants with the basics of human anatomy and physiology.

Self-paced. On average, the course will take between 12 – 24 hours to complete.

Upon completion of the Medical Terminology course, the participant will be able to analyze medical terms, correctly spell medical terms, pronounce medical terms and correctly read passages containing medical terms.

This course is presented in 15 modules:
